Dubai has recently unveiled a five-year multiple-entry visa aimed at boosting travel from India. With the goal of fostering closer bonds between India and the UAE, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has introduced this initiative in light of the growing number of Indian visitors.

The recently introduced visa, processed within two to five working days upon receipt and acceptance of the service request, permits individuals to remain in the country for up to 90 days per visit. Those eligible for this visa type can enjoy the convenience of multiple visits to the UAE over a span of five years, each allowing a extendable 90 days which can total up to maximum stay of 180 days annually. The visa is tailored to accommodate diverse travel requirements, simplifying travel for both business and leisure purposes by enabling convenient connections.

In 2023, Dubai experienced a notable 25% increase in overnight tourists from India, consolidating its status as the primary source market. The DET has emphasized the considerable benefits of this measure, highlighting that travelers now possess the opportunity for multiple entries and exits, providing operational adaptability for both business obligations and leisure journeys.

Bader Ali Habib, who serves as the regional head of proximity markets at DET, conveyed Dubai's gratitude for its enduring partnership with India. He noted that India remains pivotal to Dubai's market landscape, making substantial contributions to the aims of the D33 Agenda and enhancing Dubai's position as a hub for commerce, investment, and tourism.

Additionally, it was noted that the diverse Indian market enables Dubai to appeal to a wide array of travelers, meeting different interests including luxury shopping, cultural immersion, family-oriented activities, and business conventions.
