Bihar Election 2025 LIVE Updates: NDA Poised for Landslide Victory

Nov 14, 2025 - Counting of votes for the Bihar Assembly election 2025 began in the State at 8:00 am on Friday, November 14, and is underway. Postal ballots are being counted first.
6:45 pm Update: At 6.45 pm, NDA continues to head for a landslide win and is currently leading in 200 seats (up 78) while MGB is leading in 37 (down 77) seats. JDU leader Nitish Kumar has expressed his "heartful gratitude to people of Bihar". "I salute and thank PM Modi for his support....NDA showed complete unity", he said.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to reach BJP headquarters in New Delhi shortly. Home Minister Amit Shah has already arrived at the BJP office. PM Modi will be addressing the BJP workers shortly.
4:45 pm Update: At 4:45 pm, NDA is heading for a historic with the latest trend showing the alliance is leading in 202 of the 243 seats in Bihar. The alliance has surpassed its 2020 results of 122 seats. Tejashwi Yadav again takes lead in Raghopur. Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party has failed to open an account. MGB is currently showing a lead in 34 seats.
3:30 pm Update: At 3: 30 pm, the NDA is on the verge of recording its best-ever Bihar performance, having crossed the 200 mark and leading in 208 seats while the MGB is struggling far behind at just 28 seats. BJP is leading in 95 seats, JDU in 84 seats, RJD in 24 seats with Congress is ahead only in two seats
2:15 pm Update: Voting trends at 2:15 pm indicate a landslide victory for the NDA with BJP leading in 91 seats and JDU in 79. RJD is trailing far behind at 30 seats while Congress is in 4 seats. At this hour, NDA is leading in 119 seats while the MGB is leading in 38 seats.
11:45 am Update: Voting trends at 11:45 am show Tejashwi Yadav trailing in the family bastion of Raghopur by more than 3,000 votes. The BJP candidate has widened lead over Tejashwi. At this hour, trend shows BJP emerging as the single largest party. NDA is surging in 191 seats versus MGB's 48 seats.
10:00 am Update: Voting trends at 10:00 am show the NDA heading to a big win by crossing the 160 mark in early counting. JDU appears to be emerging as the single largest party with the BJP also crossing the 50 mark in early trends. NDA surge is seen in rural and Dalit areas. The Mahagathbandhan (MGB) is trailing .
The results at the end of today will decide who will take over the reins of Bihar…. whether Nitish Kumar-led NDA will continue to run the government or whether a change will come in.
