AS Nagar, Chairman Environment Appraisal Committee of Ministry of Environment visited Piplantri on 27th Nov 14. R K Marble has been providing financial support under CSR Program to community of Piplantri village to make it a model environmental friendly village.

He appreciated efforts made by the community and is of opinion that this is model village which can provide guidelines to “One village adoption scheme of Member of Parliament”.

Piplantri is located at a distance of 19 km from Rajsamand town near R K Marble mines in Rajsamand. Shyam Sundar Paliwal, Ex Sarpanch and founder member of the village development group had initiated the work 15 years back with support from R K Marble and has developed green belt on hills with fruit trees and water shed works for ground water recharging.

Toilets were constructed in every home in the village. Every family in the village plants 11 trees on the birth of their child and maintenance of trees is done by them. Many dignitaries have visited this model village. Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Sindhia had recently visited this village and had advised Collectors of all cities to visit this place. Anna Hazre visits here every year.
