Daughter of Ex-Minister Poonam Chand Bishnoi, State President of Mahila Congress and Head of Social Welfare Board of Rajasthan, Vijay Laxmi Bishnoi reached Udaipur with Parminder Kaur, General Secretary of All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) and In-charge of Rajasthan, on a two day visit, late night yesterday.

Bishnoi and Parminder received a warm welcome from Chanda Suhalka (City President, Mahila Congress), Kamini Gurjar (Rural President, Mahila Congress), Shanta Prince, Reshma Meena (Pradhan, Sarada), Sukhveer Katara and all the other members of the Mahila Congress.

Bishnoi today attended a meeting organized by the Rural Mahila Congress Committee at Samudayik Bhawan Saveena. In her inaugural speech, she emphasized on the need for the effective control of “female child infanticide” and said that it is necessary to save the female child to save the community.

In this meeting large number of women from different parts of district was present to hear the State President.

Vijay Laxmi said that there are so many schemes and incentives that would be provided to women for taking up studies in the fields such as horticulture, forestry, dairy, agricultural engineering and food processing.

Women pursuing doctorate in agricultural studies will get incentives by the State Government.

Bishnoi, on Behalf of the Social Welfare Department, said that we are introducing a new scheme of Mobile Van Computer Education, in which, in the first phase we will start from Badmer, Bikaner and Jaisalmer and then we will introduce this new scheme from the next budget session in all the other districts.

Vijay Laxmi Bishnoi will attend another meeting tomorrow at Dungerpur and then return to Jaipur.
