Offline applications are now completely banned and only online applications will be accepted
Udaipur, November 13 - There are cases of applicants in Rajasthan not receiving electricity connections on time. In order to improve this situation, Jaipur DISCOM has issued an SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) to make the process of issuing residential electricity connections smoother and more transparent.
According to this SOP, connections must be issued within one day in metro cities, two days in other cities, and five days in rural areas, for applications where a service line is already available. Offline applications are now completely banned and only online applications will be accepted. Applications will not be held up for minor issues, with the goal of enabling the immediate processing of connections.
Once the demand note amount is deposited, the connection must be issued according to the prescribed procedure. The SOP outlines the entire process, from receiving applications to site visits, issuing demand notes and setting up connections.
DISCOM's CMD Arti Dogra has instructed officials to ensure strict compliance with these guidelines.
