All services and offices associated with the operations of the Energy Department and its affiliated companies have been deemed essential services. This declaration has been made by Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam, following the notification from the Rajasthan Government.

NL Rathi, the Secretary (Administration) of the Discom, has stated that, in the public interest, all services provided by the Energy Department and its affiliated companies will be classified as essential under the Rajasthan Essential Services Maintenance Act. Consequently, strikes within these offices and services are prohibited. Employees will not have the option to go on strike for the next six months.

Employees within the Electricity Corporation have been engaged in prolonged protests concerning issues related to recruitment, service regulations, and salary disparities. These protests have been coordinated at multiple circle headquarters of the corporation, including Patel Circle in Udaipur. Concurrently, Electricity Corporation employees have actively joined various employee organizations. Notably, a large-scale protest took place in Jaipur, led by technical staff, which exceeded its originally planned duration.
