A flight going from Rajkot to Delhi made a full emergency landing at Maharana Pratap Airport yesterday night at 8:10pm.

As per information received, the incident happened with Air India flight AI-496 going from Rajkot to Delhi. When the flight was passing over Udaipur, the pilot got the information of warning light on account of smoke in the cargo area. He immediately informed the airport authority and requested for an emergency landing on Udaipur airport.

In parallel, Air Traffic Controller (ATC) made all requisite arrangements for emergency landing in Udaipur and the pilot was granted permission to land. After the flight landed, all 123 passengers were evacuated from the aircraft for detailed examination of the aircraft.
