Municipal Corporation takes action against encroachments in Udaipur; authorities removed unauthorized constructions
Udaipur, January 30, 2025 - The Udaipur Municipal Corporation launched an anti-encroachment drive on Wednesday, targeting illegal structures at Ayad. Acting on complaints from residents, authorities removed unauthorized constructions, including boundary walls and cattle sheds, built within the river’s vicinity.
Udaipur Municipal Commissioner Ram Prakash said that complaints had been received regarding illegal encroachments in the Ayad River. Some individuals had unlawfully constructed walls and were keeping animals in the riverbed, which obstructed the natural flow of water and posed environmental concerns.
Upon receiving these complaints, a team of officials, including Revenue Inspectors Mohit Agnihotri, Vijay Jain, Rahul Meena, and Police Inspector Mangilal Dangi, reached the site to assess the situation and carry out the demolition process.
The Municipal Corporation also took action in Krishnapura, near the Bhupalpura Police Post, where illegal structures were identified. To efficiently clear the encroachments, heavy machinery, including a JCB, was used to demolish unauthorized constructions.
This operation is part of the ongoing efforts to protect public spaces, maintain the city's drainage system, and prevent illegal land occupation. Authorities have warned that similar actions will continue against encroachments in other areas to ensure compliance with urban regulations.
