For Udaipur lakes purity check, the administration has taken some steps. Water quality measurement equipment will be installed in all three main lakes of the city namely Pichola, Fateh Sagar and Udaisagar at the cost of Rs. 1 crore. This information will be displayed through these devices and the common man will be able to see it easily. The equipment will keep updating the water quality every minute and it will be displayed 24 hours a day. The decision was taken in the meeting of the Lake Development Committee held on Monday 16 April, 2023
Rs. 1 crore will cover the installation of the equipment and its maintenance for 5 years. In the meeting, District Collector TaraChand Meena said that the equipment has been installed to show the status of air quality in the city and on the same lines, these devices will show the quality of the water. Further, the Collector has given the responsibility to Udaipur’s Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Shri Vasudev Malawat. Instructions have been given that in the meeting to be held on April 25, 2023, the officers of the Pollution Control Board should be given technical information about these devices through presentation.
