District court has summoned 7 officers from Essar Oil Company for operating petrol pump without the permission of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

7 Officers from Essar Company have been summoned to present before court on 15th May for operating petrol pumps in Ratanpur and Bichiwada without prior permission of NHAI. Petrol pump dealer Rajesh Chouhan had appealed against these 7 officers of Essar Oil Company in July 2017 under section 420 and SCST Act. Police had issued a final report (FR) against this complaint. Then Rajesh forwarded his protest against final report of police. This was accepted in the SCST court of Virendra Jasuja as per which bailable warrant of 5 thousand each was issued against the 7officers of Essar Oil Company. These 7 officers have been summoned to the court on 15th May.

Mangilal Jain opened Essar petrol pump on agricultural land in 2005. This land is alongside National Highway. It has been reported that Essar Oil Company did not take approval from NHAI for putting up this petrol pump. The aforesaid petrol pump was bought by Rajesh Chouhan in 2007. The company officers did not inform about legal issues regarding the petrol pump and took 3 lakh rupees as lease amount from him in the name of Essar Oil Company. NHAI declared this petrol pump as illegal and issued orders for closing down the petrol pump in December 2015.
