Agreement under the Rising Rajasthan investment summit
Udaipur, October 26, 2024 - An investment summit under the Rising Rajasthan initiative will be held in Bhilwara, where a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is to be signed for the establishment of an ethanol plant in Bhilwara. The plant will enable local utilisation of maize produced in Bhilwara district.
The proposed project, with an investment of approximately Rs 150 crore, will be located along the Bhilwara-Shahpura road although land acquisition is still in progress. The project is being spearheaded by Mukesh Laddha from Bhilwara.
Murali Eenani, president of the Food Grain Trade Association, said that maize produced in Bhilwara, Shahpura, Chittorgarh and Nimbahera is being dispatched to Gujarat, Haryana and Punjab. Most of the maize is used for animal feed and poultry farming, while some is purchased by liquor factories. The locally-produced maize will be utilised if the ethanol plant is established in Bhilwara.
The facility will utilise maize and broken rice as feedstock and is expected to create around 300 jobs.
