Benefit of 100% waiver on outstanding interest for defaulters
Udaipur, November 5, 2024 - The State Government has launched the Excise Amnesty Scheme 2024 to clear old dues of the Excise Department. Under this scheme, defaulters will be given a 100% waiver on the outstanding interest if they pay the overdue amount.
Excise Commissioner Shivprasad M. Nakate informed that the Excise Amnesty Scheme 2024 provides a convenient opportunity for defaulters to settle old dues. Under this scheme, defaulters will not only get a full waiver on the overdue interest but also receive a concession on the principal overdue amount. This scheme is valid until December 31, 2024.
By availing this scheme, defaulters can avoid unnecessary auctioning of properties, attachment of assets and legal proceedings. For more information and to resolve pending cases, defaulters can contact the Additional Excise Commissioner, District Excise Officer or Excise Inspector.
It is to be noted as per the law that if defaulters do not settle their dues under this scheme, action will be taken to attach and auction their movable and immovable assets, and publicity will be done as per the Revenue Laws. In necessary cases, civil and criminal proceedings may also be initiated against the defaulters.
