Rainfall In Rajasthan State

Winter is intensifying in Rajasthan, with last night being the coldest of the season across the state. Nighttime temperatures in cities such as Udaipur, Jaipur, Jodhpur and others are currently the lowest this month. In regions like Shekhawati, including Sikar, Churu, and Jhunjhunu, temperatures have plummeted to single digits. The chilling cold has set in, creating a noticeable drop in the overall temperature, particularly in these areas.

Looking ahead, there is an anticipation of rain and sleet in various districts on both November 25 and 26, 2023. A new western disturbance is set to bring about a change in weather conditions in southern Rajasthan. Starting from the night of November 25, there is a likelihood of scattered rainfall in select districts within the Udaipur and Jodhpur divisions.

On November 26, areas in Udaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer and Kota divisions may experience rain accompanied by thunderstorms. Additionally, there is a potential for sleet at specific locations during this period.

As per the report from the Jaipur Weather Center, Sikar registered a temperature of 7 degrees Celsius, Churu recorded 8 degrees, and Pilani marked 9.5 degrees Celsius. In Shekhawati, the cold has intensified throughout the day due to dry, cold winds blowing both in the morning and evening. Bhilwara witnessed a nighttime temperature drop, reaching 9.4 degrees Celsius. Mount Abu, a hill station, experienced the coldest night, with the temperature plummeting to 6 degrees Celsius.

In the upcoming period, moderate to heavy rainfall is anticipated in certain areas of the Udaipur division. On November 27, there is a likelihood of rain in specific regions within the Kota, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions. As the impact of the disturbance gradually diminishes starting from November 28, the weather is expected to stay predominantly dry, accompanied by a potential drop of 2-4 degrees Celsius in minimum temperatures.
