Fifth stakeholder meeting for Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart on May 21 highlights commitment to empowering local stakeholders to access larger markets
Udaipur, May 22, 2025 - Under the joint aegis of the Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) and the Department of Tourism, the fifth stakeholder meet for the Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM) was held yesterday, on May 21 at City Palace Udaipur and Kumbhalgarh. Held under the theme "Explore, Discover, Experience and Meet in India," the meeting showcased Rajasthan's tourism offerings and involved the participation of hotels, resorts, travel operators, wedding planners and local entrepreneurs.
Prominent dignitaries in attendance included Dr Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Additional Director of the Department of Tourism Anand Tripathi, Joint Director Sumita Saroch, Deputy Director Shikha Saxena, FHTR senior vice-president Surendra Singh Shahpura, FHTR vice-president Rajendra Singh Pachar, HAU president Sudarshan Dev Singh Karohi, HRAR president Tarun Bansal, and FHTR General Secretary CA Virendra Singh Shekhawat, among others.
Dr Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar stressed, "Rajasthan is rapidly advancing in sectors such as tourism, destination weddings, cultural events and film shooting. The State's natural beauty, architectural marvels and deeply rooted traditions make it attractive to both domestic and international tourists. However, to truly reach its potential, we must come together as a mission."
Tripathi said, "RDTM is designed to strengthen B2B partnerships and promote Rajasthan not just as a tourist destination, but as a hub for authentic and heritage-rich experiences." He reiterated the department's commitment to empowering local stakeholders to access larger markets.
Shahpura highlighted the consistent growth of the tourism industry, noting the increase in the number of hotels and visitors. He emphasised that locations like Udaipur and Kumbhalgarh hold unmatched potential for weddings, heritage experiences and sustainable tourism.
