Eye Glasses of 'Gandhi' to be exhibited at City Palace Museum
The glasses worn by Sir Ben Kingsley in the film Gandhi will be preserved at the museum in City Palace. These glasses were gifted to Shreeji Arvind Singh Mewar in a recently held program in honor of Film Director Lord Richard Attenborough at London.

The film ‘Gandhi’, which was released in 1982 was awarded with 11 Oscars. The role of Sir Ben Kingsley as Gandhi was also highly acclaimed all over the world.
Presently Lord Richard Attenborough is the President of the National Films and Television School, London. Producer David Puttnam had hosted a grand event to honor Lord Richard Attenborough for his remarkable works. Shreeji Arvind Singh Mewar was specially invited to the program.
With the motive of keeping alive the memory of the historical film ‘Gandhi’ and the active involvement of Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation in the conservation of living heritage, the glasses worn by Sir Ben Kingsley were gifted to Shreeji.
The glasses will be kept for public viewing from 20th July in the City Palace Museum
