A student who failed in third year examination, conducted suicide by jumping in front of a train. The incident happened yesterday afater around 3:30pm at Prapatnagar Yard Downside HS#35 home signal.

A student who failed in third year examination, conducted suicide by jumping in front of a train. The incident happened yesterday afater around 3:30pm at Prapatnagar Yard Downside HS#35 home signal.

Thee student has been identified as Amit Kumar (20) s/o Madhurika Prasad Bharadwaj. Amit was a resident of Purohit ki Madri, Road No. 3.

As per the information received by GRP Police, they received news of a boy jumping in front of a train coming from Neemuch towards Udaipur. On reaching the spot, they found the boy’s body was cut in two parts because of the impact.

GRP Police searched his pockets and found a mobile phone therein. They called a number from Amit’s mobile that happened to be the number of the Amit’s brother, Sunil. Sunil was called to the spot where he identified the deceased as his brother Amit.

Sunil informed police that Amit was staying with him and was a 3rd year student at MLSU. Amit’s third year result was declared about 4-5 days back in which he failed. Amit was in a lot of mental stress since then. Yesterday morning, he left the house at 8 am without informing.

Amit’s body has been kept in MB hospital mortuary. The post mortem will be carried out today.
