FAQ - Information on Entry and Exit permits across Rajasthan state border | Monitoring in place till 16 June

Border checkposts being manned by police personnel, supported by medical, education and administrative department staff have been setup at the Gujarat border, which is the closest to Udaipur.  This has been done after the 9 June order to impose strict monitoring of inter-state movement.

An UdaipurTimes insight on 10 June provided the statistic that 100% of the cases in the last 8 days and 95% positive cases in the last 15 days in the district are positive migrants.

Who will need to get a permit for exiting or entering the state

Any person exiting or entering the state will need a permit. While exit permits are being given both through the district administration office or the Superintendent of Police office, there are kiosks set up at the airport, railway station and bus stands, to give permits immediately on verification of purpose and identification.  Those need urgent permits on date of travel will need to be at the point of departure a couple of hours before the time of departure.

Entry permits can be taken online.  There is no provision for home quarantine or institutional quarantine for persons who are asymptomatic when entering the state.

Who will NOT need to get a permit for exiting or entering the state

Those in essential services; those travelling for medical reasons or due to a death in the family and those who have already done their reservations before 10 June for air travel, rail travel and travel through RSRTC will not need NOC/Permit.

As per the orders, screening of people entering and exiting the state till 16 June has caused jams at the road borders. People entering the state must take a no objection certificate through the online route.  People exiting the state must also take permissions and no objection certificates and verify their identity.

For those entering the state, screening is mandatory and strict health check will be the norm. This is being done in order to ensure that there is a check on migrant COVID+ve cases.  Contact details are being stored for the health and administration department to facilitate contact tracing just in case that the incoming person turns out to be positive.  Necessary protocols are in place for symptomatic cases.

For those exiting the state, a permit is necessary, to ensure that in case they turn positive within a few days of exiting the state, contact mapping and tracing in the state can ensure that they did not leave behind traces of the infection.
