Farmers protested against merchants in Kanod in the ongoing Kisan Andolan and did a showdown at Collector’s office on Wednesday.

Cases were registered against 5 farmers following which Kisan Mahapanchayat stood together in revolting against merchants. They collected at Town Hall on Wednesday morning and carried out a rally which went upto Collector’s office where farmers expressed their agitation against the merchants.  Addressing SP Rajendra Prasad Goyal, they said that they wanted to carry out the protest peacefully, but merchants convinced them into throwing vegetables and milk. The farmers said that all the cases registered against them by the merchants are false. They also said that if false cases against farmers are not withdrawn then their protests will take an aggressive turn.
