Did you apply for FASTag? Did you know that 1st January 2021 onwards, 6 toll plazas will be accepting only FASTag payments and those who do not have this sticker will be required to pay double the amount of toll amount? So if you do not have FASTag, apply for it now. It is available on all toll plazas and all you need to do is produce your vehicle RC and proof of identity and take it.

The Project Director of NHAI informed that the highway authority will take payments only through FASTag from 1st January. The toll plazas at NH-8 Udaipur-Ahmedabad route (Kherwara), NH-76 Udaipur-Chittorgarh route (Mangalwad), NH-8 Udaipur-Gomti choraha (Negadia and Mandawada) and NH-76 Udaipur-Pindwara (Gogunda and Malera) toll plazas are all equipped to accept FASTag payments.

All toll plazas accept payments of different banks and through Paytm modes for FAStag. It is available on the spot and all you need to do is download the FASTag app on your mobile and recharge as per your travel needs.

FASTag is a reloadable tag which enables deduction of toll charges automatically and you can pass through the toll gate without being stopped. The tag or the sticker that is provided upon registration works on radio frequency identification technology needs to be affixed on the vehicle’s windscreen after the account is active.

The benefits are that you save both time and fuel when you have this tag with you. SMS alerts are also sent for the transactions done. Online recharge is the easiest way to load back money on the tag. And to add to this, you do not need to carry loose cash and this also prevents you from being forced to accept chocolates or biscuits  in lieu of balance amount.
