On February 26, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate several railway projects across the nation, highlighting the government's commitment to inhancing the country's infrastructure. Among these projects, six railway stations and 17 road overbridges/underbridges/subways in the Ajmer division will be unveiled.
In the Udaipur district, significant redevelopment work at the Fatehnagar station, undertaken at a cost of Rs 18.85 crore, will be inaugurated. The renovation includes the expansion of circulating areas, separate entry and exit gates, and improved facilities for passengers such as parking spaces and restrooms.
Additionally, four Road Over Bridges (ROBs) between Berach and Mavli will be constructed, aiming to enhance connectivity and safety in the region. The elimination of level crossings along this route, spanning approximately 69 kilometers, will notably reduce the risk of accidents and alleviate traffic congestion.
Preparations for the foundation laying ceremony have been diligently assessed by DRM Rajeev Dhankad of Ajmer district, underscoring the meticulous planning behind the event. Scheduled to commence at 11:00 AM on February 26, 2024, the ceremony will feature cultural performances and will be attended by legislators, ministers, and officials from various organizations.
The highlight of the event will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address and virtual inauguration, slated for around 12:20 PM. Notably, 50% of the redevelopment work at Fatehnagar station has already been completed, marking a significant milestone in the region's infrastructure enhancement efforts.
