Fatehsagar Lake, a renowned destination in Udaipur, is facing threats from vendors whose negligence is tarnishing its beauty. Concerned about the deteriorating conditions, former member of the Lake Development Authority, Tejshankar Paliwal, raised the issue with the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA).

Responding promptly to the complaint, a team from the UDA visited Rajiv Gandhi Park on Rani Road, adjacent to Fatehsagar Lake. During the inspection, the team discovered clay cups, known as "kulhads," strewn into the lake. These cups were traced back to two tea vendors operating near Rani Road.

UDA's R.I. Babulal Tavad took decisive action against the vendors. He took both vendors to the lakeshore, where they were made to remove the cups and associated litter. In addition to the cleanup, each vendor was fined Rs 500 for their negligence.

The UDA team gave warning to all vendors operating near the lake, cautioning them against similar actions in the future. Strict repercussions were promised for any repeat offenses.
