The gates at Fatehsagar overflow will be closed from today. The level of water in the lake has gone down by 2 inches. It may be noted that the level of this city's hot spot had gone to 13'2" but now it has come down to 13 feet. Earlier the gates were being lifted from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. but on Tuesday they were lifted from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The tourists were enjoying the overflow, but the irrigation department informed that the level of the lake went down by 2 inches. Hence it was decided to keep the gates closed from now on.
