Two people have been killed in a gruesome road accident that took place today at Dabok, near Udaipur at around 11:30am.

The deceased Atal Bihari Sharma (38) and his father Shobhalal Sharma (62) from Kanor had died on-the-spot when a truck overran them while overtaking. The father and the son were coming to Udaipur on a motorbike for some personal work.

Parbat Singh, SHO Dabok Police Station has informed us that Atal Bihari was a compounder at Hospital in Kanor and was coming to Udaipur with his father Shobhalal. The accident occurred on Dabok highway when a fast coming truck crashed with the bike while trying to overtake it.

Both the victims died on the spot, as the bike was entangled with the truck, it took almost 6 hours for police to clear the spot. The poorly mutilated bodies have been shifted to mortuary before handing over to the relatives of the victims.

While the truck driver immediately fled away after the mishap, a case has been registered by Dabok police against the driver for rash driving.
