A Fault Rectification Team (FRT) will be setup in the Udaipur Circle of Ajmer Discom to ensure uninterrupted Power Supply for the consumers of the Udaipur circle. This concept has been floated on the initiative and recommendation of the Udaipur District Administration.
FRT is a GPS enabled mobile vehicle with man-power, who will locate identify and rectofy power failures across the circle.
Managing Director of Ajmer Discom NS Nirvana informed about this development and said that FRT will address speedy redressal of complaints, round the clock service (which will also include holidays) and closure of complaints only after taking feedback from consumers. The FRT will also ensure safety of public property and will deal with emergency matters under top priority, he added.
Nirvana further added that the FRT, which is being set up on the initiative of the Udaipur District Administration, will operate under Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the AVVNL. Fault rectification through FRT will be seamless as FRT will be connected through a Call Centre and will function 24x7.
FRT will be equipped with fully trained personnel, T&P items, smart phones, navigators vehicle tracking and will be linnked to a Call Centre, he said. He said that the FRT will be used to address all types of power supply related problems related to consumers HT (upto 11 KV) as well as non-current complaints related to LT network up to the metering point.
Grievances outside the range of FRT will be transferred to the concerned staff of the Discom immediately through the system by the centralized call centre. No current (supply failure), other technical complaints, safety related complaints and transformer related complaints will be addressed by the FRT.
