Female Leopard died after attacking two villagers at Gogunda

In a bizzare incident a leopard who attacked two villagers at Kundao village of Gogunda died after he colided with wall in a bid to escape after the incident.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when a young leopard entered a farm and attacked two villagers when they were busy with their work.

It was when the other villagers spotted the animal and started shouting, listening to the screams of the villagers the animal got scared and rushed to escape. But it was due to darkness that he failed to see the wall and colided with it. The impact of the collision was such that the animal sustained head injury and died on the spot.

Those injured during the attacked were identified as 62 year old Bagga Gameti a resident of Kundao village and 31 year old Khetaram Gameti a resident of Modwa village. Khetaram came to Bagga's house to meet his sister and was working at the field with Bagga the leopard targeted both of them.

Both the injured were later rushed to the M.B government hospital for treatment.

On the other hand the villagers informed the officials of the forest department following which Forest Ranger Ravi Mathur rushed to the village with his team and the dead body of the animal was shifted to Gogunda Veterinary Hospital and was later cremated on Monday morning.

The forest official Ravi Mathur said "We got the information in the morning that a Leopard attacked an elderly villager at Gogunda. A team from the department rusher to the village but on the midway we got another call informing that the injured are not one but two, when we reached at the villagers the injured were shifted to a local hospital first and was later referred to Udaipur for further treatment.

The Leopard was found lying on the ground with blood in her mouth. We shifted the dead body to the Veterinary hospital for postmortem, a panel of 3 doctors were formed and the postmortem was conducted through a medical board and the body was cremated."
