October 18, 2024 – Eighteen-year-old Nikita Porwal from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, has become Femina Miss India World 2024. She was crowned at the grand finale of the beauty pageant held in Mumbai on the evening of October 16. The event marked the 60th edition of this competition.

The title was contested by 30 participants from 29 states and one union territory. Rekha Pandey from Dadra and Nagar Haveli was the first runner-up while Ayushi Dholakia from Gujarat was the second runner-up.

Nikita will represent India in the Miss World competition. Upon winning the Miss India title, she said, "Now the next goal is Miss World."  

Nikita has a passion for acting and her dream is to one day work under the Sanjay Leela Bhansali banner. She has performed in more than 60 plays and also scripted a 250-page play titled Krishna Leela. The beauty queen is also an animal lover.
