A misunderstanding made police run to and fro for 2 hours. Public thought that a person was being kidnapped whereas it turned out to be a case of mental patient being ferried to the hospital.

Police was given the information that 4-5 youths had kidnapped another youth in a car in front of Oswal Plaza on Thursday evening. On the news of kidnap, police became alert and sealed the area. CCTV footages were checked and local public gave the registration number of the car to police. As per the number, the car was from Chittorgarh. Public even informed police that the youths were talking about taking the kidnapped man to the hospital. Police checked the parking zones of all private and government hospitals and found the concerned Baleno car in the parking of MB Hospital.

Upon investigations, it was revealed that the so called “kidnapped” man was actually a mental patient and was forcibly being taken to the hospital for treatment.
