The Flights to Saudi scheduled for May 7 & 8 have been cancelled.
Udaipur, May 7, 2025: The government of India, in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor, has closed 18 airports/airstrips in north India. This has resulted in the cancellation of flights both domestic and internationa, from these airports.
The Haj flights began on April 29 and flights to Saudi from India are expected to be affected. Srinagar, being among the core target and resource airport in the ongoing conflict situation has understandbly been the first airport to be shutdown. Accordingly the Haj Committee of India issued a notification to this effect. The notification, addressed to the concerned Haj pilgrims from the Jammu & Kashmir region says, that in view of the prevailing situation, Flight SG 5207 dated May 7, 2025 and Flight SG 5208 dated May 8, 2025 stand cancelled. The Haj Committee has assured that the revised schedule will be communicated to the pilgrims when the situation normalises in the region and airport resume commercial operations.
Executive Officer J&K Haj Committee, Dr Shujhat Ahmad Qureshi confirmed that Hajj flight initially scheduled for today has been cancelled due to the ongoing closure of Srinagar airport.
