City of Lakes Udaipur has not only beautiful lakes to retreat your spirits but it also has number of parks and gardens to relax yourself from meddling lifestyle. However, in fact, only very few parks have remained tranquil with their beauty and attraction as most of them are dying slow deaths.

Have a look at the Eklavya Garden, which is adjacent to Dudh Talai Garden. The garden was inaugurated some 4 years back by a renowned political leader but today this rarely visited green patch is weeping over its sad state.

Today evening, this strong looking and artistically carved boundary wall of garden collapsed but it again left an unanswerable question to the role and responsibility of authorities who is still unknown about its condition.

When we approached Nagar Parishad Chairman Rajni Dangi she expressed her unawareness about the incident and ensured to let us know in few minutes, it is her gentleness that she called us back but her reply didn’t convince us, Mrs. Dangi says “I have informed president of Nirman Samiti, as it is too late to visit the spot now, we will check the situation by tomorrow morning”.

To some of our assessment, we have found that there were small holes made in bottom of the wall, the regular passing of water might have weakened the wall, nobody took care of it and the result is here.

There was a possibility of a severe accident if someone was leaning over the wall or standing near it but fortunately nobody was there to make it another BIG NEWS.

Investigation and reports will be the next step of authorities but again nobody will take pain to find the root cause.

Corruption is spreading like a cancer, from steel made locker to mud clad wall, everything is getting weak day by day. Hope someday the constitution will not collapse.
