Baghdara Nature Park was on fire once again day before yesterday. By Friday morning, fire was controlled but vigilance is still on.

This is not the first time that Baghdara Nature Park caught fire. Thursday night again fire was caused by sources unknown. By 4 a.m. on Friday, it was controlled but vigilance is on to check that it doesn’t spread again even by the minutest source in the Park. All relevant officers of the park were present during this time.

At the sight of slightest smoke, the team would rush to the spot and use twig brooms to douse fire. Forest department team at Baghdara Nature Park carried out vigorous search operations to make sure that there were no burning traces of fire left. The entire team stayed active throughout the day to keep a check on the surroundings.

A number of crawling wild life were burnt to death in this fire. Godown of RSMM which contains explosives was given special attention so that fire does not reach godown.
