Fire continues in Sajjangarh hills
Fire began on Tuesday morning and could not be controlled until night.

Sajjangarh sanctuary is in real danger because of fire. The fire started on Tuesday mroning and could not be doused until night. It is quite a matter of concern since the spreading of fire can create loss of wild life as the heat is also growing day by day and fire will only add to it. But the teams of forest department managed to stop the fire from spreading though it still continues in around 100 hectares of area.

The other hilly regions are also experiencing fire almost every day. Just a day back, the hills facing Gorela area were on fire and this is how it probably spread onto the hills in the sanctuary.

Since the days are windy as well, the staff in the sanctuary were trying to douse the fire using leafy tree branches and even brooms. The dry weeds in the area also resulted in burning soon and this spread the fire even more.

The fire in Debari, Pratapnagar and Kodiyat hills has now been controlled.
