A godown in Hiranmagri caught fire on Tuesday. There is a petrol pump situated near the godown. As per reports, a godown located in the ground floor of a building in Hiranmagri Sector 6 caught fire. Godown owner has reported a loss of around 20 lakh rupees due to fire.

Early morning around 4 a.m., the building owner felt suffocated since the building was engulfed in smoke. This made him realise that a fire had occurred in the building. It started in the ground floor of the building which was being used as godown by Nakoda Agencies. Bharat Nagori, owner of this godown, said that all grocery, confectionary and cosmetic items kept in cartons turned to ashes due to fire and he suffered a loss of around 20 lakhs rupees. Fire probably started due to short circuit.

Fire brigade rushed to the spot since there is a petrol pump very close to the building. Had the fire brigade not rushed in time and had the fire not been controlled, it would have reached the petrol pump resulting in an unimaginable disaster. 5 fire brigade vehicles controlled the fire in time.
