Two days after a derailment incident near Madar station in Ajmer of Sabarmati-Agra Cantt, another mishap struck the Udaipur-Mysuru Express train. A fire broke out in one of its coaches, creating panic among passengers. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.

The Udaipur-Mysuru Express train embarked on its journey from Udaipur to Mysuru on Monday night. However, on Tuesday morning around 11:50 AM, near Vapi in Gujarat, smoke suddenly emerged from the wheels of a coach, triggering alarm among travelers.

Prompt action was taken upon receiving information from railway officials. The pilot immediately applied emergency brakes, bringing the train to a halt, and conducted an inspection on the spot. A technical team aboard the train conducted a thorough examination to assess the situation.

Initial investigations conducted by railway sources revealed that the fire was caused by the heat generated due to jammed brakes of the wheels. The technical team swiftly rectified the malfunction, ensuring the train was safe to resume operation.

As a result of the incident, the train remained stationed at the site for nearly an hour. Passengers heaved a sigh of relief once the fire was extinguished, grateful that the situation was swiftly addressed.
