To give a modern look to bus stops, Udaipur Municipal Council has come up with their first modern bus stop, equipped with comfortable seats and 24 hrs FM availability. Now, you can enjoy music while waiting for your bus.

The new bus stop at Shastri Circle was inaugurated by city legislator Gulabchand Kataria today. Council’s chairman Rajni Dangi and other prominent personalities from administration were also present at the event.

This first ever modern bus stop is constructed on the basis of Build Operate Transfer (BOT); Udaipur Municipal Council in association with private firms, Creative Outdoor and N.S Publicity has plans of constructing 30 similar bus shelters in the city.

‘There would be 30 similar bus shelters, built across the city. This will not only help commuters but also put in an additional feature to beautify the city of lakes’ -Bal Mukund Asawa – Commissioner, Municipal Corporation was quoted as saying. He added “In addition to the technical attributes, these bus shelters would fetch yearly revenue of Rs.15 Lacs for the Municipal Council too”
