‘Jaaroday’ the 1^st book compiled by the Journalist Association of Rajasthan (JAR), Udaipur will be launched at Khumbha Auditorium of B.N College on Saturday, 24th December at 11:30 am.

Distinguished personalities who are expected to attend the inauguration include Dr. Dayaram Parmar (Minister of Higher Education of State), Gajendra Singh Shakhtawat (MLA) , Rajni Dangi (Chairman , Municipality council), Rahul Agarwal (Secretary, Paher Udaipur) and Tarashankar Joshi (Member of NUJI).

The name of the book ‘Jaaroday’ is a fusion of two distinct words ‘JAR’ (Journalist Association of Rajasthan) and a Hindi word ‘Uday’ which means the ‘first sun rays of the morning’.

Dr. Tuktak Bhanawat, President of JAR, Udaipur and the editor of the book said, “a lot of hard work and efforts have been put in by the team to bring this book together and if possible we will try to publish another edition also.”

Jaaroday illustrates glimpses of work done by JAR, Udaipur and articles from 54 journalists of Udaipur expressing and sharing their views on Journalism.

It also comprises of contact information of Udaipur’s members of JAR, journalists of Udaipur, MLAs and MPs of the district, Chairman of Municipal Council, District Administrative officers, Divisional Collectors of Rajasthan, IG and SP of Rajasthan and important institutes of Rajasthan.
