At around 4 pm today evening, a dead body of an unknown man was found floating at the Dudh Talai pond.

The body was later removed from the pond by the police who arrived after being informed by the locals. Under the custody of SHO Dhirendra Singh of Ghanta Ghar Police Station, the body was sent to MB Hospital for postmortem.

According to the police, the victim was said to be approximately 30 years of age; however the identity of the victim is yet to be determined.

Dhirendra Singh, SHO Ghant Ghar said, “we could not see any marks of injury on the body or any evidence of attempt to suicide, probably the cause of death could be due to drowning but the actual reason will be known only after postmortem.” The deceased was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, the officer informed.
