Flyover dream to come true, UIT starts Survey

After the instructions of the UIT Chairmen Roop Kumar Khurana, the survey of the much needed flyover between Court Circle and City Station re started today. The main focus of the flyover will be to strengthen the road network of Udaipur City.

Few years back when the idea was proposed, it was discussed with the administration but due to protests from some local businessmen, the hope of flyover fainted. The election of Khurana as UIT Chairman has re-ignited the hopes of getting the much needed flyover after all.

At an initial stage, a team of 4 engineers will be appointed to review the technical feasibility and viability of the venture. Soon they will forward a survey report to the Chairman and other concerned authorities, so that a favorable decision can be taken.

According to the information provided, Roop Kumar Khurana has already shown great interest in infrastructural plans in the city, especially the road network and if everything goes smoothly, construction will be started.

Roop Kumar Khurana in his talk said, “the city is facing traffic problems due to increase in vehicle density; to overcome this we have to build effective infrastructure. Once we are done with the survey, we will start construction work”.

Mukesh Jani, Assistant Engineer, UIT informed UT that “we are at very initial stage and have to go a long way. We need to study about both actual conditions and technicals of the area”.
