Dr. Tarun Gupta has taken over the chair as the Acting Superintendent of Maharana Bhopal Hospital, Udaipur.  He takes over the position from Dr. DP Singh who had been serving as Superintendent since 2011 and since October 2014, is also the Principal of RNT Medical College.

Dr. Gupta, who is a Neuro Surgeon by profession took over the charge as Acting Superintendent of MB Hoispital on Tuesday, after orders from the State Government.  Candidature for the permanent position of Superintendent is yet to be decided.

On taking over the chair, Dr Gupta reiterated that his focus will be on ensuring 24 hr availability of Doctors in the Outdoor Department of the Hospital.  Apart from that he also said that he will work on increasing the Operation Day duration at the Hospital, as many patients are given long waiting hours/days for operation, which can at times affect their health adversely.  Dr Gupta mentioned that he will also speak to the UMC and install more Urinals in the Hospital premises.
