The Forest Department's eco-tourism event is attracting significant attention from environmental enthusiasts and the general public. Held every Sunday, the weekly tour has generated considerable excitement.
Assistant Conservator of Forests (Wildlife), Devendra Kumar Tiwari, reported that over 250 people have already visited eco-destination sites including Goram Ghat, Bhilberi, Phulwari and Jawai. This month’s tours will feature a visit to the Sita Mata Wildlife Sanctuary, along with eco-sites such as Ranakpur-Jawai and Todgarh-Raoli Sanctuary.
This Sunday, the tour will take participants to the Sita Mata Sanctuary, where they will enjoy a 3-kilometer trek near the Arampura checkpoint. The sanctuary is renowned for its rare flying squirrel, and also hosts rare orchids, leopards, wild cats, and four-horned antelopes. In the second phase of the tour, visitors will experience the stunning views of the Jakham Dam.
