No more "monkeying" around-Forest department rescues monkeys from a madari.
We have all seen madaris with monkeys performing dance and different stunts for entertaining people. A street performer (madari) was performing on the streets with monkeys on Tuesday in Pratapnagar area. The madari had 2 red-faced monkeys that were taken in by the forest department.
As per sources, Wild Animal Rescue Centre got information that a street performer was in possession of 2 monkeys which he used for earning his living. The “madari” used these monkeys for performing various actions on his instructions and entertained people. Wild Animal Rescue team headed by Chaman Singh Chauhan reached the site and saw the monkey game. Chaman Singh informed forest conservator Shaitan Singh Devda about this act. After a while, a team from forest department reached the site and arrested the madari and rescued the 2 monkeys from his possession. After certain investigations, the madari was released and the 2 monkeys were shifted to the biological park.
