The Forest Department seized JCBs operating in Udaipur's Bujhda region, there were efforts to build on Forest Department land. The department responded by seizing two JCBs and a tractor involved in the encroachment. Later, all three drivers were arrested.
As per the available information, there was an attempt to encroach behind a hotel in Bujhda. Upon receiving this information, several members of the Forest Department, including Regional Forest Officer Vijendra Singh Sisodiya, Forest Guard Narayan Lal, Ravindra Singh, Pradeep Singh and others promptly arrived at the scene. Subsequently, two JCBs and a tractor were seized from the site.
As a result of these actions, legal measures were taken, leading to the arrest of the drivers associated with the encroachment operation. All three drivers were initially arrested but were later released on bail.
The Forest Department had carried out tree plantation in this region during the fiscal year 2017-18, covering an area of about one and a half hectares. Unfortunately, the green trees that had grown were damaged by the JCB. The drivers of the JCB and tractor were in contact with their owner, who disclosed the hotel manager's name. A survey is scheduled for Friday, December 22,2023 and necessary actions will be taken in accordance with regulations.
