The Forest Department in Udaipur is organizing a forest tour program to promote eco-tourism. This initiative includes visits to Jawai Dam and Leopard Safari, generating excitement among wildlife enthusiasts. CCF Rajkumar Jain mentioned that this time, they have expanded the tour to include Pali district, in addition to Udaipur, Pratapgarh, and Rajsamand districts.

The highlight of the tour will be the Jawai Dam and leopard safari in Pali district. Participants from Udaipur will travel in air-conditioned buses, visiting Ranakpur Jain Temple and Ranakpur Dam in the morning. The tour will feature an open jeep safari through the forest, offering a splendid view of Jawai Dam nestled among towering granite mountains. This presents a unique opportunity for nature lovers to witness Indian leopards in their habitat.

Taking into consideration the provided amenities and schedules, the department has incorporated a comprehensive package for the Leopard Safari tour. This inclusive package encompasses Leopard Safari experiences, transportation via air-conditioned buses, meals including breakfast, lunch, evening tea, and dinner. It is worth noting that R.K. Jain, who held the position of Deputy Conservator of Forests from 2011 to 2014, has been instrumental in ensuring the successful operation of this forest tour. Additionally, credit for the revival of this forest tour, which had been suspended due to Covid, should be attributed to the current Chief Forest Conservator, Raj Kumar Jain.
