On Friday, August 16, 2024, Sanjay Sharma, Minister of Forest and Environment, visited Udaipur to review several ongoing environmental initiatives in the region. During his visit, Minister Sharma inspected the development of a botanical garden in the Kevde Ki Naal forest area, providing guidance on its progress. 

He also attended a meeting at the residence of the late Salumber MLA, Amrit Lal Meena. The minister further assessed the Jaisamand Sanctuary, where he directed officials to advance wildlife tourism and address recent incidents involving panthers. Sharma emphasized the need for a comprehensive plan to minimize human-wildlife conflicts.

Additionally, Minister Sharma visited the Ruthi Rani Palace, instructing officials to prepare a proposal for its restoration. A Bael tree was planted on the palace grounds as part of the visit.
