A significant milestone has been achieved under the flagship program of the government, the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme. According to the latest information, beneficiaries under the Chiranjeevi scheme can now avail the benefit of organ transplant services even beyond the boundaries of the state. This expansion of the scheme's coverage allows eligible families to access organ transplant facilities in other states, widening the scope of medical care and providing enhanced support for those in need of life-saving treatments.

Simultaneously, the government has announced that it will provide air travel support of up to Rs 1 lakh to patients and a family member accompanying them for medical treatment outside the state. This commendable initiative, as per the guidelines issued by the Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency, aims to alleviate the financial burden associated with travel expenses and ensure seamless access to healthcare services beyond state borders. By offering this assistance, the government strives to facilitate and prioritize the well-being of patients, ensuring they can avail themselves of necessary treatment without undue hardship.

Under the Chiranjeevi scheme, a wide range of organ transplants are covered, including liver, kidney, lungs, heart, bone marrow, and cochlear implants. However, it is important to note that for the reimbursement of expenses related to organ transplant treatments, only bills from hospitals recognized by the National, State Organ, and Tissue Transplant Organization will be considered valid. This measure ensures that the medical facilities adhere to the necessary standards and guidelines set forth by the authorities, providing quality care to the beneficiaries of the scheme. By limiting the reimbursement to recognized hospitals, the government aims to ensure the appropriate utilization of resources and maintain the highest level of healthcare standards for organ transplant procedures.
