Complimentary entry only for students up to Grade 12 on the occasion of Udaipur Bird Festival; Bird Race will be organised from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on January 16; Nature Literary Festival on January 17
Udaipur, January 7, 2025 – The Forest Department has announced that students up to Grade 12 will be allowed free entry into the Bird Park for the next 12 days on account of the Bird Festival 2025. According to Divisional Forest Officer (Wildlife) Devendra Kumar Tiwari, this concession will be applicable from tomorrow, January 8, and will continue until the end of the Bird Festival, which is January 19. Also staff at the Bird Park has been instructed to provide visiting students information about the birds.
The 11th edition of the Udaipur Bird Festival 2025 will be held from January 16 to 19. As part of this event, a Nature Literary Festival will be held on January 17 in three sessions. Renowned bird experts will share their insights and answer participants’ questions. Experts such as Ananda Banerjee and Padma Shri Shyam Sundar Paliwal will address the participants’ queries.
On January 16, a Bird Race will be organised from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, during which bird enthusiasts will count various bird species at regional water bodies, both online and offline. Similarly, on January 18, bird watching will be conducted at designated wetlands along six routes. During these activities, the Forest Department will provide arrangements for travel, snacks and meals. Participants can register online and offline for both activities.
