Rakesh Singh from Bihar has cycled all the way from Bihar and reached Udaipur on Sunday. He is on his campaign to spread awareness on “Save Girl Child” project.

As per Rakesh Singh-“It is a pity that even after 70 years of independence, India is witnessing campaigns like saving girl child, anti-dowry and slogans on religious discriminations. No one has actually seriously taken action on these issues and that is the reason why even the educated class of society is not yet free of such issues. The fear is always there.”

Keeping these thoughts in mind, Rakesh Singh left his native town Bihar on 15th March 2014 to spread awareness on the above mentioned issues. He wants people to understand the importance of girl child, a dowry free country and neutrality in religious beliefs. He left Bihar all alone with a determination to carry forward and deliver the important messages.

Rakesh reached Udaipur on Sunday after cycling for 47 months. He has covered a distance of 22 thousand 600 kilometres and inspired around 8 lakh people. He plans to stay in Udaipur for 2 days wherein he will be meeting school and college students and make them aware with his messages. From here he will leave for Pratapgarh and head on to Gujarat from there. His inspirational journey will end in his hometown Chhapra in Bihar in December 2018.
