Fateh Sagar: UDA Calls for New Tender at Mumbaiya Bazaar Point

UDA suspends boat operations at Mumbaiya Bazaar point, the new contract will introduce battery-operated speed boats similar to those in Goa

 
FS Boat Operation Dispute

Udaipur, January 13, 2025 - The UDA has called for a new tender at the Mumbaiya Bazaar Point of Fatehsagar Lake after the previous boat operation contract expired on December 31, 2024. Boat services have been suspended from the past 12 days.

Outstanding Dues Not Recovered
UDA has yet to recover Rs 3.50 crore in outstanding dues from the former contractor, Shri Ramdev General Motors. Despite a notice being issued, the contractor has objected to the amount and has not deposited the dues.

Contractor Seeks Extension
The contractor claims UDA has not provided written orders for halting boat operations. The operator is seeking an extension of the contract, though UDA maintains that the tender ended automatically after the contract period expired.

Goa-Style Speed Boats
UDA has announced that the new tender will prioritize eco-friendly boat operations. Following High Court directives, only solar or battery-operated boats will be allowed.The new contract will introduce battery-operated speed boats similar to those in Goa. UDA has added strict conditions in the tender to ensure compliance with environmental and operational standards.
