-Petrol price now after reduction is 92.72 rupees/litre and diesel 84.88 rupees/litre.

The state government has reduced the prices of fuel to provide some relief to the consumers. A reduction of 2 percent on VAT was announced by the state government and the reduced prices were enforced from late Thursday night.

Until now the constant rise in the graph of petroleum prices has been creating a dent in everyone’s pockets and the reduction of 2 percent might not actually be a relief. Now onwards the VAT on petrol will be 36 percent which earlier was 38 percent and that on diesel will be 26 percent as compared to 28 percent until 28th January.

The president of Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association informed that the cost of petrol has been reduced by 1 rupee 70 paisa per litre and that of diesel by 1 rupee 60 paisa per litre and the revised rates came into effect from late Thursday night.

Petrol is now available in Udaipur at 92.72/litre and diesel at 84.88/litre as compared to 94.42 and 86.48. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the centre must also reduce the taxes so that the prices of fuel can be reduced further providing a good relief to the masses.
