Udaipur lakes to benefit from CM Gehlot's Rs. 1,700 cr funds for the Dewas dams project

Dewas 3 and Dewas 4 dams will supply regular water in the lakes of Udaipur after their completion

The city of lakes, Udaipur, has pleasant news. Now, Udaipur will receive water from dams in its lakes. For the Dewas 3 and Dewas 4 dams in the Udaipur district, CM Ashok Gehlot approved roughly Rs.1700 crore in his most recent budget. CM set the funding for these dams during the budget announcement.

The Dewas 3 dam will be built at Naal Nathiya village in Gogunda tehsil, and the Dewas 4 dam will be built at  Ambava village. There will be a tunnel connecting the two structures. In 5 years, the dam's building will be finished..

In order to fill Lake Pichola in Udaipur, water will be redirected from Dewas 4 to Dewas 3 through a tunnel, where it will then be diverted to Akodada dam.

1093 mcft will be the combined capacity of the two structures. Following the PHED's financial and administrative sanctions, the dam construction tendering procedure will start. The dam's vincity, which will cover about 274 hectare, will also necessitate the restoration of 200 families. When the projects are finished, Udaipur's lakes will receive constant water supply.
