Gates to Open as Water Inflow into Udai Sagar Rises
Udaipur administration issues safety warning; public urged to stay away from Berach river flow area amid rising water levels

Udaipur, Oct 27, 2025 – Owing to continuous rainfall in the catchment areas of Udaipur district, the inflow of water into the Udai Sagar Dam has increased. To maintain the water level, the administration has decided to open the dam gates by six inches each.
The administration has appealed to the public to refrain from engaging in any activity within the flow area of the Berach river and warned people not to attempt crossing flowing water or culverts, in order to prevent any untoward incidents.
The Udaipur district administration and related departments have made all necessary precautionary arrangements. Considering the ongoing rainfall, surveillance of the dam has been intensified. Officials said that all safety measures are being ensured to prevent any possible loss of life or property.
